ButohSF Programming

ButohSF was founded in 2009 by Shoshana Green after many years of searching for a quality of dance that valued the internal and existential experience of the dancer. 

ButohSF was created to support the appreciation, education and contemporary movement of the Butoh art-form in San Francisco. Since then, this effort has been collectively supported by the creative and dedicated efforts of Megan Nicely and many other local Butoh artists who have devoted many years to studying, teaching and performing Butoh.
